Topic: “Absorption Chillers an Opportunity for Energy Recovery”

Presentation:
The topic “Absorption Chillers an Opportunity for Energy Recovery” will provide insight on the energy saving that can be achieved. Frank will discuss methods of being environmentally sound and using available sources of energy that are normally being wasted. He will also cover topics such as wasted heat applications and using available steam in absorption chillers to provide means of cooling in buildings operations. I think the presentation will provide you with a stimulus to think.



Speaker:
Frank Silva currently is the Senior Product Marketing Manager responsible for special projects for the Carrier Corporation. Prior to his current role, Frank held the position of Global Portfolio Manager with Ingersoll Rand. Frank’s career spans key management rolls including Marketing Manager – Air Solutions Group, Project Manager, Area Manager, and Application Engineer. Frank holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Marketing from Mackenzie University in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Frank lives in Charlotte, North Carolina and has over 15 years of industrial equipment experience.

Mr. Harrison will be delivering his presidential address ‘Maintain to Sustain – Delivering ASHRAE’s Sustainability Promise’. Harrison’s address “focuses on operating buildings to deliver the energy efficiency inherent in their design, including effective commissioning, improved documentation, and programs to educate and certify building operators.” Come early and meet Mr. Harrison during the Social Hour.
