2007-08 ASHRAE Year

We are at the end of another ASHRAE year. Serving as chapter President of such a prestigious organization has been an honor and prompts too many returns to summarize in this brief article. I would like to thank all of you; members, officers, BOG, past-presidents, committee chairs, and friends of the Triangle chapter for making my experience as chapter president so rewarding.

In setting goals for the 07-08 year, we concentrated on those essential to the chapter's future success. Goals accomplished this year include but are not limited to, an increase in chapter meeting attendance by almost 50%, the presentation of (3)three separate student scholarships, establishing an additional student chapter, and strengthening a volunteer base that will provide succession for the chapter in years to come. These goals along with our general mission to advance the arts and sciences of HVAC&R to serve humanity, is what your chapter officers and chairs have worked so hard for this year.

Without your guidance and support, we would not have been able to continue the chapter's progression. A progression firmly established by presidents before me. I am confident that Kent Woodard, our 2008-09 President will sustain the chapter's success and elevate us with even greater achievements. Don't miss out, the upcoming year will be a great time to be active and participate in your local chapter. Join us at our Chapter's Regional Conference (CRC), August 14th -16th where we will celebrate this past year and prepare for the upcoming year.

See details on our upcoming CRC in the article below.
